One thing I love about black hair is the endless possibility. From never-ending texture differences to the option to go natural, black hair is a wonder and an experience. Now, I am fully aware that I have readers of all creeds, and this is in no way an attempt to leave you guys out or down you. Honestly, I wish everyone could experience the wide spectrum that is black hair. But, since many do not have the opportunity I want to share with you guys my transformation (well where I am currently because I'm still on the journey).
Below are two pictures. The one on the left was taken the day after I cut my hair off (big chop: May 2, 2014). (Disclaimer: I've been natural for six years. I did my big chop super late.) The one on the right was taken last night after co-washing (length check: May 15, 2016). my natural texture has been restored and I have surpassed my goal length.👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 One of the biggest differences is how easy my hair is to deal with now. it's thicker than ever, yet throwing it up in a ponytail or bun is nothing now. Going natural is a struggle but once you get the hang of it, it's so worth it.
Question: For my natural readers, what are your favorite products and why?
If you guys have ANY questions about my journey, feel free to ask away. I am happy to answer.
